Owen Fahey debuted with the Spokane Symphony Orchestra at age 18 while studying at Whitworth College with Margaret Saunders Ott (2003 Music Teachers National Association Teacher of the Year). Owen studied with Mrs. Ott for 11 years. He received his Masters in Piano Performance at Western Washington University before entering the United States Air Force Band program.
As Concert and Protocol Pianist for The United States Air Force Academy Band, Owen toured throughout North America and in Europe, often performing for high-level civilian and military dignitaries including White House and NATO-sponsored events.
Owen now teaches privately at his home studio in the Stetson Hills area of Colorado Springs where he lives with his wife and three children.
In addition to a classical regimen, Owen performs and teaches a variety of styles and includes sight-reading, improvisation, theory, chord reading, and ear training. His primary teaching instrument is a Yamaha Grand Piano.
